Father-Daughter Ball

The time that I had with the girls was very special and is something that I will always cherish. I got to dance with both of my beautiful daughters, and tell them how much that I love them. Also I let them know that nothing they could ever do or say will ever change that. There is also a picture of one our good friends Nelson Hodge and his daughter Kaylea. The theme of the ball was a winter wonderland and the dance floor was an ice skating rink. Our church did a great job and the food was delicious with an ice cream sundae bar to end the night.

The Sexiest Man Alive

Those Abercrombie models don't have anything on Collin. I love to see him sucking his thumb. I had to wake him from his nap early so I decided to get a picture of this for a keepsake.

Happy Birthday Collin

For Collin's birthday, I ordered a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake from Coldstone Creamery. It was so yummy! Collin took a couple of licks, but really didn't want to eat it. Don't worry though, it didn't go to waste. He just wanted to go to bed so I gave him a quick warm bath and laid him down.

Awards Day at Hopewell

Joy recieved an award for making the Principal's List first and second semester. She wouldn't look at me while she was on stage for a picture, but she is wearing the purple jacket. We are so proud of her!

Weekend Summary

Tiffany spent the night with Joy Friday night. I took all the kids to watch Madagascar 2 at the dollar movie (I know I'm a cheap date). The popcorn cost more than the movie. My kids were singing "I like to move it, move it" all weekend. Saturday morning, we took Tiffany home and went to Greensboro for Collin's pictures. On our way home we had to call 911 because we were behind a drunk driver. By the time they switched me over to the highway patrol the guy had hit a tree head on in a yard about 2 miles from our house. It was a terrible thing for my children to witness, but a great opportunity to teach them about drinking and driving. They both prayed for the man when we went to bed that night. They spent the rest of the day playing with their cousin, Gregory. After a great service on Sunday morning, we came home and had lunch. By the time I got the dishes cleaned it was time for me and Natalie to leave to go to the Wake Forest game. They were playing Boston College. Wake started pulling away with about 6 minutes left on the clock, so Natalie and I decided to leave so we could make it to church (We were late after witnessing to a homeless man in the parking lot at the game). Our friend, Roger, was there speaking. He did a great job! Several people went up for prayer afterwards for salvation and then half the church got prayed for to have a deeper love with God. We all need that! I don't think you can be too close to God. Before we left, Roger gave Joy and Natalie each a flattened out penny that had the ten commandments on it. We are going to try to punch a hole through it to make a necklace for the girls to wear to school. We were sad that we didn't get to talk to Lance on his birthday Sunday. We did call his cell phone and sing Happy Birthday on his voice mail. Natalie sang to him in Spanish afterwards. He turned 30 years old. Lance, you are a wonderful person and we are proud to have you as a part of our family. Oh, I almost forgot, Collin finally started taking whole milk Saturday night. He's only been drinking whole milk (no formula) since then and so far no problems. Yea Collin! Now we need to transition to a sippy cup.

Having fun outside

Joy, Natalie, Collin, and Gregory had fun spending some time outside in the 60 degree weather today. Gregory is my nephew. I was happy he wanted to come over for the day. Jamie took him for a ride on the four wheeler.

Picture Day

Well, it was super crowded and the lady taking the photos had no personality. Oh well! I still have a handsome son.

He cracks me up!

I love to hear Collin laugh. Either he's really happy or just drunk on formula or both.

New Talent Uncovered?

This poor guitar got beat up yesterday while Joy and Natalie were home because of a snow day. Natalie told me she wanted to play me a song she made up. It was so funny I asked her to do it one more time for the camara. She sang, "I just want you to break my heart, break my heart, break it real bad. I just want to change everything in my life..." Sounds kinda like the country you hear on the radio (depressing). Joy actually figured out how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb on it. I don't know much about guitars, but I was impressed. Maybe I should get them some lessons:)

Unrolling Toilet Paper

This sweet child thinks he is giving mom some privacy in the bathroom. He's just minding his own business unrolling all of the toilet paper. I'm sure I'll miss the human leg-warmer once he starts school. It makes me sad just thinking about it. In the meantime, we'll have fun unrolling toilet paper and unfolding towels. Are there any moms out there that can relate?

First Day of Whole Milk for Collin

He tried all by himself. Then I tried to assist. But, no success. I don't think he likes cold whole milk just yet.

Home from school.

It's been fun for Joy and Natalie to stay home from school for two days in a row. Yesterday we went to the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. A brown alpaca spit on Joy and Natalie when we they tried to pet him. It was gross. They also touched a real live snake. Sorry, no pictures.
